Salutations, dear reader, my name is Mina Harker and right now, you are probably wondering "Where have I heard that name before?". Well, let me tell you. I am the wife of Jonathan Harker, the man who killed Dracula.

Poor Jonathan, he died just before the outbreak of the First World War and as if that heartbreak was not enough, our darling son, Quincey, lost his life whilst heriocally defending King and Country in the bloodbath that was the Somme.

Dear Quincey, he was as brave as as his father ever was, spurred on by the tale of how Jonathan, assisted by Van Helsing and their valiant friends, chased the abomination called Dracula halfway across Europe and into the lair of the monster itself. They finally caught him, on the cusp of the Sunset and drove the stake deep into the Black Heart of the vile creature, ridding the World of a creeping evil that threatened to turn the brightest day into the darkest night.

Alas, this was not before the monster had blighted the serenity of our joyous lives. Coming upon Whitby, he corrupted poor Lucy Westenra, my dearest friend and the only woman I have ever truly loved. Then, when he had taken her innocence away, it fell upon Van Helsing to free Lucy's immortal soul by driving the cold stake through her heart and removing her head from that voluptuous body.

The monster was enraged and turned his attentions upon me, entering my room at night using enrapture and deception to place upon me his deadly kiss. I became infected with the dark blood and although Van Helsing was able to prevent me from falling beyond rescue, it was too late to cleanse the corruption from my soul.

Now, here I am, still walking amongst you, searching for others like me so that I may release their immortal souls from a living Hell.
